It is the mission of to promote email marketing accessibility and usability. In that be the voice of users and the email marketing community.

For years the email marketing industry has never really made a point of accessibility. But a large section of email recipients does care and need accessible email. With the current maturity of the channel, it should be totally possible and new devices, email clients and coding techniques demand better accessibility. We believe it is the right time to get more serious about the topic to keep the channel open for the future.

Accessibility evaluation tool

The accessibility evaluation tool is the first of our projects. It is aimed at email marketing professionals and industry developers to give them an overview of their current level and possible improvements.

Who are we?

Accessible-email is an initiative of Maarten Lierop and Jordie van Rijn.

Maarten Lierop

Maarten Lierop is an interaction designer at Measuremail, a Dutch email service provider. He is passionate about both people and technique, but most about the ways these can be brought together. One of his specializations is accessibility in the field of email newsletters development. Packed with years of hands-on experience on the subject, he is committed to make accessible email the industry standard it should be.

Jordie van Rijn

Jordie van Rijn has more than 13 years of hands-on experience as an independent email marketing consultant. Next to helping companies improve their email marketing results he gives email marketing training and is a writer and speaker in the field of online marketing. He is also the founder of the international email vendor selection platform.
